The Upper-Room Chapel draws inspiration from Acts 2, which describes the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and the birth of the early Church. This biblical foundation emphasizes the importance of being empowered by the Holy Spirit for worship, service, and transformation.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Upper-Room Chapel is "To transform believers into their superior selves through Spirit-filled prayers." This mission reflects the church's commitment to empowering individuals to overcome life’s challenges, discover their purpose, and walk in divine power and authority.

Vision Statement

The vision of The Upper-Room Chapel is "To prepare the conscious mind of believers for the next life and the age to come." This vision underscores the church's focus on eternal life and spiritual readiness for the Kingdom of God. It aligns with the biblical call to live with heaven in view, growing in holiness and awareness of God’s eternal promises (Matthew 6:33).

                                                 OUR CORE BELIEVES

Belief in the Bible as the Word of God

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, providing guidance for faith and life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness." Psalm 119:105: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Hebrews 4:12: "For the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword."

Belief in the Trinity

We affirm the triune nature of God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal. Matthew 28:19: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." 2 Corinthians 13:14: "May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." Genesis 1:26: "Then God said, 'Let Us make mankind in Our image.'"

Belief in the Birth, Death, Resurrection, Ascension, and Second Coming of Jesus Christ

We believe in the miraculous birth, atoning death, victorious resurrection, ascension, and glorious return of Jesus Christ. Luke 1:35: "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you." 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and was raised on the third day." Acts 1:11: "This same Jesus...will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven."

Belief in Baptism by Water and the Holy Spirit

We believe in water baptism as a public declaration of faith and Spirit baptism for empowerment and spiritual growth. Matthew 3:11: "He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." Acts 2:38: "Repent and be baptized...and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Romans 6:4: "We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death."

 Belief in the Holy Communion

We observe Holy Communion to remember Christ’s sacrifice and proclaim His death until He returns. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26: "Do this in remembrance of Me...proclaiming the Lord’s death until He comes." Luke 22:19-20: "This is My body given for you; do this in remembrance of Me." John 6:53-54: "Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life."

Belief in Salvation and internal life through Faith in Jesus Christ

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who offers forgiveness and eternal life. Ephesians 2:8-9: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith." John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son." Romans 10:9: "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart...you will be saved."
